Many years ago, user accounts for purchasing Max and user accounts for our website were separate. You could use the same email address, but they required different passwords. This is no longer the case -- your cycling74.com account and your Max account are now the same!
In case you're new (welcome!) or returning from our old system (welcome back!), here's an introduction to how Cycling '74 accounts currently work.
What does a Cycling '74 account do?
A Cycling '74 account controls your Max 8 and RNBO authorizations, your website profile/submissions/forum activity, and your Max 7 purchase (if applicable).
How do I get a Cycling '74 account?
Anyone may sign up for a user account with a valid email address, no purchase necessary.
Creating an account is required if you want to authorize Max 8 and RNBO or participate on our website.
To create an account, visit the welcome page, click 'Sign In' in the upper-right corner of the browser window, then switch to the "Create Account" tab.
Please note that by creating a user account, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.
Is there only one account?
Yes. If you already have an account, you may sign in by selecting 'Sign In' on our website.
How do I verify my new account?
After you create a new account, you will receive an email asking you to verify your account within 48 hours. Click on the link in that email and your account will be automatically verified.
- If you do not receive the email, you can choose to re-send it. Visit cycling74.com, look for "Unverified > Resend" or "Sign in". You must be signed in to see the option to resend. Please make sure to check your spam folder in case the message is being filtered.
- If you see "Token has expired" after clicking on the link in the email, you will see the option to resend the email with a new URL.
I used to have an account, but it looks like I can't log in anymore?
When we released Max 7 we introduced a new online account system. This means that anyone who owns a license prior to Max 7 has to create a new account to log into our website. You can create a new account on our homepage by clicking "Sign In" in the upper-right corner of the browser window, then switching to the "Create Account" tab.
Please note that licenses prior to Max 7 will not be displayed in your online profile. If you need to look up an old serial number, please contact us at email@example.com.
