If you are running Max 8.5 or greater, RNBO is bundled with the Max application. If you are using an authorized version of Max, opening a RNBO patcher without a RNBO license will cause RNBO to run in a demo mode.
This demo mode allows you to create a rnbo~ object, open its RNBO patcher, edit its contents, and even export to a variety of targets. However, without a valid RNBO license, you will be unable to save your RNBO patcher.
The RNBO demo has no expiration date—we designed it this way so that authorized Max users can explore RNBO at their own pace.
